BIMUN 2016
MODEL UNITED NATIONS AT EUROPA INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL
From 13 to 15 May 2016, a MUN (Model United Nations) conference was held at Europa International School.
For the first time in Catalonia, an event of this scale was organized by students!
The organizers of this event, Hugo Igartua and Marc Rodríguez, second year high school students, made the conference a resounding success.
The MUN is an international meeting in which students from different countries, following the official MUN format, represent member states of the United Nations and discuss international politics.
This year’s edition began with the opening ceremony held at the Parliament of Catalonia.
Over the next six days, sixty pre-university students from ten different countries debated current international political issues in the school’s theater.
All arguments and conclusions were subsequently transferred to the international MUN.
Schools and private institutions around the world celebrate different editions of MUN every year.
Good job Marc and Hugo.
The school is proud of you!
