Ballet
At the youngest ages (3 and 4 years old), our teachers introduce the techniques of this discipline in a simple and fun way through play, improvisation, and choreography. The curriculum is progressively structured to guarantee the safe practice of classical dance with the required level of technical knowledge.
From Primary 1, our pupils are prepared for the official examinations of the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD), an internationally recognised institution dedicated to classical dance training. The RAD method is the most effective method of teaching ballet and ensures that the pupils learn without physical risks, which is a great motivation and stimulus for them.
Dance is a universal art form that transcends cultural, linguistic, and geographical barriers; its communication through movement allows universal messages to be conveyed. Its expressiveness is a powerful way of expressing emotions, ideas, and experiences, and its relationship with music and rhythm creates a unique aesthetic experience that allows for creativity and improvisation, making it a dynamic and exciting art form.
During the school year, we also try to involve the ballet school students in different school events, such as the presentation of the end-of-year show in front of their families, teachers, and classmates. This helps them to gain confidence and feel more comfortable on stage.
