Young Reporters for the Environment

EISBarcelona students participate in an international investigative journalism contest on environmental issues

The ‘Litter Less Campaign, Young Reporters for The Environment’ contest aims to involve young people in the 35 countries where it takes place in solving local environmental problems.
The boys and girls carry out a journalistic investigation and seek solutions through articles, photographs and videos.

The contest selects the participating schools, and one of them has been EISBarcelona.
First year high school students and ESO ecodelegates have worked to learn about the environmental problems of Sant Cugat and Sant Quirze del Vallès.

The projects, presented in English, are: ‘Do you waste or recycle?’, by Martina Montefusco and Marta Segovia, Recycling Plastics (Àlex Vidal, Berzan Ekame, Kaan Özdemir, Pau Tintoré) Can Recycling (Biel Alonso, Oriol Carreras, Aleix Anglada and Mario de la Fuente); What If (Carlota Leopold, Cristina Lete, Alba Campos and Elena Padrós); Recycling is the New Trend (Neha Karani, Daniela Hinz, Berta Parrot and Eugènia Colomer).

The contest has been promoted by the Eco-Schools foundation with the support of the Fundació per a l’Educació Ambiental (FEE).
